An up-scale Mediterranean-themed restaurant situated in all major international airports, Meso is known for its authentic flavours true to all the seven countries from the region – Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Lebanon & Egypt.
A majority of Meso’s diners are solo travellers looking to pass time before their flights or trying to stay awake and endure a long layover.
INSIGHT

Engaging diners can help them beat boredom, broaden their cultural horizons and alleviate their discomfort of dining solo.
SOLUTION
While the restaurant took customers on a culinary tour of the Mediterranean, I wanted to add to the experience with an immersive tour of my own by weaving stories that would engage weary travellers as they stopped for a bite before their flight.

Featuring food-related customs and sayings from each country with quirky illustrations on placemats, coasters and menu.

The brand identity was designed to be elegant yet playful, and inherently Mediterranean in color and style.

Characters were illustrated from each country taking real-life cues for their attire, props and idiosyncrasies.

Textures and overlays create depth and complexity in the illustrations and layouts, while serif typefaces elevate the experience.​
